3. Hacienda Bodega Tacama:
One of the oldest vineyards of America which lands are irrigated by a canal built on the XV century by the Inca Pachacutec. This charming hacienda is situated at the Ica’s outskirts, roughly at 13 km far from Huacachina.
Tacama is well-known for its wines, piscos and sparkling drinks, they offer guided visits from Tuesday to Sunday (09h30 to 16h30), moreover they have a really good restaurant where you can enjoy delicious regional food while a marinera with paso horse show is offered, this activity only take place the Saturdays on the following schedules: 12h30 , 13h00 and 13h30.
4. Hacienda La Caravedo:
The oldest operating distillery in America, where pisco of excellent quality is elaborated as the famous Pisco Porton. La Caravedo is situated 15 km far from La Huacachina, has a colonial style and owns a modern production plant. A booking must be done before visiting it and the tours are done from 09h00 to 15h00. We do recommend the classic tasting where a visit of the original farm is done and you will taste 2 types of pisco, the perfect end up of this tour is a refreshing chilcano, drink made with pisco, fruit, ice and ginger ale served on a nice glass that you can take as a souvenir.
5. Bodega El Catador:
Traditional winery dated back from to 1856 where pisco, wine and creams are produced, one of my favorites is the coffee cream. The best thing of El Catador is that they offer free guided tours the whole year where you can learn more about the artisan process of wine and pisco as well as tasting the wide variety of products that they have. Catador is opened from 09h00 to 19h00.
