CITY TOUR (HD)
We will first show you a panoramic view of “La Huaca Pucllana” and then you will visit the impressive Historical Downtown of Lima: its palaces, mansions, churches and squares, ending with a visit to the residential and financial district of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean from the district of Miraflores. This tour includes the admission to the BCR Museum and the Complejo Monumental San Francisco and its Catacombs.
*Note: The BCR Museum is closed to the public on Saturdays and Sundays afternoons. Closed all day on Mondays.
LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM (HD)
Located in an 18th century vice-royal mansion, built on and pre-columbian pyramid of the 7th century. Its new galleries display the best and most complete collection of gold and silver of Peru together with its famous collection of erotic pottery.

Transfer to the bus station.
Drive to Ica by regular bus (equipped with A/C, reclining seats and toilet/washroom).
Upon arrival at the bus station you will be taken to Ica´s airdrome, where you will board a light aircraft and enjoy the flight over the amazing Nazca Lines. There you will see a number of geoglyphs, representing stylized pictures of animals and plants, distributed among a huge maze of rects, trapeziums, triangles and spirals carved on the land and preserved for almost 2, 000 years.
*Note: The flight is subject to weather conditions in the area. Groups of passengers may be divided into different flights considering the maximum weight allowed on the plane as provided by law.
In the afternoon you will have an excursion in dune buggies, specially designed and driven by expert pilots, through a desert surrounded by dunes from 3 to 100 meters. There you will decide your route: through a plain part to enjoy a landscape of beautiful dunes or a circuit plenty of adventure and emotion going up and down some dunes.
At proper time you will be transferred to the bus station.
Return to Lima by regular bus
Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel in Cusco.

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel. The remaining of the morning is free to relax and slowly acclimatize.
CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS (HD)
In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the historical city of Cuzco. Your visit will begin with the center of the city, touring around two beautiful colonial landmarks: the Cathedral and the Main Square. Then you will visit the ancient Koricancha (Temple of the Sun in Quechua), an ancient Inca worship center to the Sun God and a marvelous mixture of Inca and colonial architecture. Later on you will leave the city and head towards the outskirts where several archaeological sites from Inca times can be found, and what better example of this that the Sacsayhuaman Inca Fortress, entirely built in stone, each piece carefully carved to fit perfectly to the other. This Inca fortress is also the chosen site for the Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun) that is celebrated every year on June 24th. Even more archaeological marvels are ahead: Kenko (labyrinth or maze in Quechua), a ceremonial site; Puca Pucara, a site where you will find the tambos (watch towers) from Inca Time; and finish your visit with Tambomachay, where a never-ending spring can be found. This place is locally known as the Inca Baths, a site that it is believed to be an Inca tribute to Unu (water in Quechua). At the end of the City Tour, on your way back from Tambomachay you will make a stop at a Textile Factory to see the manufacturing process and learn the difference between the types of wool such as Alpaca, Baby Alpaca and Vicuña.

PISAC MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS ( FD )
This morning you will drive to the Pisaq market in the Sacred Valley. Originally a place where people from remote communities used to barter their products, Pisaq has evolved to one of South America’s most famous souvenir markets. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Ollantaytambo Fortress where the Temple of the Sun (formed of six gigantic monoliths, whose total weight exceeds 50 tons) and the Terrace of the Ten Niches stand out.

Early in the morning you will take the train to Aguas Calientes. On arrival a small coach takes you up the steep roads to the entrance of the citadel. Your guide will take about 2 hours through the vast ruins. Machu Picchu is the best known of the Inca ruins, is believed to have been built around the mid-15th century and was “rediscovered” by the American historian Hiram Bingham in 1911. The guided tour of this fascinating place is an awesome experience. Visit the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and burial. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride to train.

After the breakfast you will be taken to the airport to take your flight to Puerto Maldonado.
CORTO MALTES LODGE – DISCOVERING THE JUNGLE (FD)
Upon arrival at Padre Almirez International airport a professional guide will await you. He will accompany you during your whole stay.
Embarkation will be at Capitania port, the destination being our lodge. You will navigate approximately 40 minutes on the Madre de Dios River in a typical Amazonian boat.
You will arrive at the Corto Maltes Amazonia Lodge. Here you will have a welcome cocktail. Afterwards you will be handed over the keys to your bungalow and you will have lunch. The kitchen of our Lodge stands out for the beautiful presentation and the exquisite tastes of the dishes prepared by our chef.
After that you will have some free time to get comfortable in your bungalow, or take a refreshing dip in our pool.
It gets time to have some first contact with the jungle. On this trek you will see a large variety of tropical trees, medicinal plants, insects, butterflies and other animals. Upon return you will make a small stop at a lookout. Here you can observe toucans, macaws and other species of birds upon your return for sunset. (Duration: between 2, 5 and 3 hours)
Returning to the lodge you can take a refreshing dip in the pool or have an exotic cocktail in our terrace- bar. You could also watch the sunset in the relaxing, tranquility of palm and mango trees at our port.
Before dinner you will go on a nightly boat trip, a little safari trying to spot the white caiman (caiman crocodilus) that lives in the river banks.
After the delicious dinner, those who wish can have some Smalltalk in our reclining seats or have some fun and make friends with other travelers in the bar. Another option is to take a bath in the pool (with bar) under the shining Amazon sky and marvel at the Cross of the South.

PARROT CLAY LICK, MONKEY ISLAND & SANDOVAL LAKE (FD)
Expedition at dawn to parrots clay licks. Here a minimum of five different species feeds on special clay, vital to their metabolism. It’s a truly marvelous, multicolored spectacle.
Breakfast and free time to explore the splendid gardens of Corto Maltes Amazonia. They have dozens of varieties of exotic plants and flowering trees.
Again you will navigate the Madre de Dios River. This time on an expedition destined to “Monkey Island” where some species of these interesting and entertaining animals live in freedom. Following another boat ride of 30 minutes you will enter to the territory of the Tambopata- Candamo National Park. You will trek 5km through the dense vegetation of the tropical rainforest. Giant trees, snakes, monkeys, birds and sometimes even the illusive jaguar can be observed there.
Our destination is heavenly Sandoval Lake. Its privileged settings are shared by numerous species of animals: Birds (in particular Hoatzins, Kingfisher, and Cormorants), different species of monkeys (Squirrel monkeys, Howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys). At the lake itself you can enjoy the spectacle of Giant River Otters. Black Caimans and Piranhas (sometimes can even observe anacondas in the areas covered by reed). This is also the habitat of the giant Arapaima, a fish of more than 2,5m, weighing in at +200kg. Traveling by canoe, the sunset in the lake is a spectacular unforgettable sight. On our return to the river we might be able to spot some nocturnal animals.
The body demands rest and food after an active day in the jungle. You will enjoy the exotic tastes of our meals, especially our desserts. If you still have energy you can share moments of music and conversation in the bar whilst having a cocktail or enjoy the sounds of the rainforest surrounding you from your hammock.
After a long day full of activity you will enjoy the comfort of you bungalows hammocks. You can also recover with a massage by the lodges’ qualified masseurs. Share service
