PALOMINO ISLAND (HD)
An early morning transfer to the Callao port.
Departure to the islands. During the whole tour we will observe open sea, rocky Islands, dung birds, fishermen boats at work and a Humboldt penguin rookery.
Arriving to the far point on route, the Palomino Island, a huge sea lion rookery appears, a group comes to us playing, swimming, jumping and diving below the boat. Wearing wetsuits we might jump into the water with life vests and share the ocean with them, swimming with them; sometimes the young ones come up and touch us out of curiosity; the old ones keep a 5 meters distance from us. They live in comfort because there are no predators. Being in the water close to the colony is an amazing moment for everyone who likes nature and wildlife. Heading back, the boat passes amazing rookeries with many bird colonies.
Return to your hotel.
LIMA AT NIGHT (HD)
Discover the beauty of Lima visiting its beautiful architectural monuments. Our excursion shows in details the impressive Historical Downtown of Lima, Plaza San Martin, Lima’s Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Government Palace, among others.

An early morning transfer to Lima’s airport to take your flight to Cusco.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel. The remaining of the morning is free to relax and slowly acclimatize.
WALKING CITY TOUR (HD)
In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the historical city of Cuzco. Your visit will begin with the center of the city, touring around two beautiful colonial landmarks: the Cathedral and the Main Square. Then you will visit the ancient Koricancha (Temple of the Sun in Quechua), an ancient Inca worship center to the Sun God and a marvelous mixture of Inca and colonial architecture, to end the tour you will visit the artisan neighborhood of San Blas.

PISAC MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO FORTRESS ( FD )
This morning you will drive to the Pisaq market in the Sacred Valley. Originally a place where people from remote communities used to barter their products, Pisaq has evolved to one of South America’s most famous souvenir markets. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Ollantaytambo Fortress where the Temple of the Sun (formed of six gigantic monoliths, whose total weight exceeds 50 tons) and the Terrace of the Ten Niches stand out.

MACHU PICCHU ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE (FD)
Early in the morning you will take the train to Aguas Calientes. On arrival a small coach takes you up the steep roads to the entrance of the citadel. Your guide will take about 2 hours through the vast ruins. Machu Picchu is the best known of the Inca ruins, is believed to have been built around the mid-15th century and was “rediscovered” by the American historian Hiram Bingham in 1911. The guided tour of this fascinating place is an awesome experience. Visit the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, and the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and burial. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride to train.

MUYUNA LODGE – THREE SUNSETS
Early transfer from the hotel to the office for shopping and last-minute coordination. You’ll continue to the port to be transferred in a fast boat for 3 hours, 140 kms upriver from Iquitos on the Amazon River. Lunch. Boat trip to Sapote lake watching different birds, like parrots, jacanas, kingfishers, herons, panguanas, partridges, pigeons, cormorants, horned screamers, orneros, and then move to the other end of the Moena lagoon to see sloths and monkeys, as the night monkeys, squirrel and dusky titi monkeys, etc. After watching the sunset over the forest of mirrors, back to Muyuna. Dinner.
At the evening, boat ride to see caimans, nocturnal birds and mammals.

MUYUNA LODGE – THREE SUNSETS
Early breakfast.
Leoncito Hike, where you appreciate the immense variety of flora around the Muyuna area. At this walk you can taste the water that Uncaria tomentosa (cat’s claw) has within its vines – some say it can cure cancer and AIDS. You also be amazed at how huge the ceiba tree is. In addition, you will see the world’s smallest monkey, the pigmy marmoset, and the squirrel and tamarin monkeys. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the howler monkey, whose deafening roar can be heard many miles away. Lunch. Boat trips to the lakes Purura and Corrientes and catch different kind of fish, including the famous piranha (being more difficult in March, April and May). This is an area that has many strangler vines, being the favorite spot of the bird “hoatzin” or shansho. This colorful bird looks like a prehistoric bird because it has three claws on the middle joint of the wing. Dinner. At night, you do a night walk in search of huge frogs, anaconda´s favorite food. In addition to seeing tarantulas, it is worth clarifying that despite the bad reputation, they are not dangerous to humans.

MUYUNA LODGE – THREE SUNSETS
Breakfast on the boat.
Using small boats will take you to the Amazon River, where you will experience the most magical moment of your trip, which is to swim in the same river where the pink and gray dolphins live. You can see them, but don’t expect to touch. On the way back to the lodge, you will see the biggest aquatic plant in the world, the famous Victoria Regia. It is also easy to see iguanas.
Lunch. With your guide, you will be able to count all the animals seen in your Animal Check List.
Your experience of the jungle comes to an end and you will sail three hours back to Iquitos and take you to the hotel or airport.
