The standard time zone of Chiles is UTC-4 for the American continent and Antarctica, and UTC-6 for the Easter Island and Isla Salas y Gómez, with daylight savings every year of one hour (moving to UTC-3 and UTC-5, respectively) during the period of «October until March that follows immediately after» (Daylight Saving Time).

Chile’s climate presents a wide range of weather conditions on a large geographic scale.
The north of Chile has a drier climate with relatively high temperatures, while the south has colder and more humid conditions. Precipitation is more frequent during the winter months. In addition, there is the humid and subtropical climate of Easter Island, the maritime climate of Juan Fernández, and the polar climate of the Chilean Antarctic Territory.
In all destinations, it is advisable to dress in layers, as some areas may experience the weather conditions of all 4 seasons on the same day.
Also, be sure to complement your clothing with the appropriate accessories in case you plan to go climbing or hiking, and never forget to bring sun protection, sunglasses, footwear, and comfortable clothing.
